The GPON ONT SFP "Cat Stick" is a powerful, professional-grade networking module designed for advanced users who want to eliminate their ISP-provided optical network terminal (ONT/Modem). By plugging this SFP module directly into your own routing equipment with an SFP cage (such as your core distribution switch or router), you can manage your fiber connection natively. We offer two highly regarded variants: the Huawei MA5671A and the Nokia G-010S-A.
These modules feature an adaptive 1G/2.5G SFP port and strictly support GPON networks (they do not support EPON or 10G EPON protocols). Please note that these are second-hand units, but they have been professionally tested and pre-flashed (brushed) with unlocked firmware to allow for MAC cloning, PLOAM password changes, and SLID spoofing. To ensure stable operation, each module comes with an attachable aluminum heatsink to manage thermal output, as well as a single-mode fiber pigtail and coupler to easily adapt to your incoming fiber line.
